PROJECTS

Tropical Health Foundation of India has completed 18 years of invaluable, glorious services. This prestigious institution has contributed to the fiber of our society and to its sanctuary of inner life. The efficiency and vision of Dr. K. Jacob Roy & Late Mr. Maj. A.V. Thomas Retd., with their undaunted, courage, the selfless service of the teachers, parents and other staffs have helped us to come this far. It is with a sense of deep bereavement that we

mention here the sad demise of Major A. V. Thomas. He was a man of tremendous courage & commitment.

THFI was started in 1986with the great efforts of Dr. K. Jacob Roy & Late Mr. Maj. A.V. Thomas Retd. Originally it focused on activities relating to Community Health and Nutrition, rehabilitate all kinds of handicaps to the fullest extend. We have reinforced our service to the disabled without considering their caste, religion & economic background. The main projects of our institution are (Click for more information):
	Prosthetic and Orthotic Workshop for making Artificial Limbs
	Special School for the Mentally Challenged.
	Special School for Hearing Impaired
	Centre for Cerebral Palsy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
	Vocational Training of the disabled.
	ADIP Scheme (Assistance to Disabled Persons).
	PSH (Partnership in Sexual Health) Project (HIV/AIDS prevention Programme).
